About me
Heather Marr started her career 20 years ago as a Peace Corps Volunteer teacher in Madagascar. From there, she obtained her Masters in Teaching from Teachers College at Columbia University, and has taught in schools in New York City, Oregon, Guatemala, and Switzerland. Heather is passionate about inter-disciplinary learning, adding Social Studies and Computer Science credentials to her repertoire over the years. She has been involved with the National Writing Project, NaNoWriMo, Soccer Coaching, Battle of the Books, pasta-making classes and student-run business, and is always eager to engage in learning with students, even in unexpected and challenging ways.
