About me
Mel Pubil has been the Service Learning Coordinator at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi for the past 7 years. Prior to this role, she taught in all grade levels, spending 5 years as an elementary teacher and 10 years as a secondary social studies teacher.Mel is committed to designing meaningful, student-centered learning experiences that connect classroom learning to real-world issues. She leads initiatives connected to sustainability and global citizenship, including coordinating a K–12 service learning framework, supporting student leadership, and building partnerships with community organizations. Mel is passionate about helping young people develop compassion and recognize their capacity to create positive change through authentic action and reflection.
